Why Consider an ADHD Assessment?

  • Attention, focus, organization, and executive functioning concerns can affect school, work, and everyday life.

  • These challenges may be associated with ADHD, but they can also overlap with learning differences, anxiety, stress, sleep concerns, and other factors.

  •  A comprehensive assessment helps clarify what may be contributing to these difficulties and provides recommendations tailored to your needs.

How an Assessment Can Help

An assessment identifies cognitive strengths, areas of difficulty, and patterns that may be affecting performance at school, work, or in daily life.

The results can help guide treatment planning, academic support discussions, workplace accommodations, and personalized strategies.

What To Expect During Your Assessment

Step 1: Virtual Intake Interview

After you complete the initial paperwork, you’ll begin with a one-hour virtual intake interview where we explore your symptoms, history, and daily challenges in depth.

Step 2: In-Person Assessment

Next, you’ll come in for an in-person ADHD evaluation that also includes a cognitive screen. This combination helps us understand not just whether you meet criteria for ADHD, but why these symptoms show up, how they impact you, and what specific steps will help you move forward.

Step 3: Feedback Session

Finally, you’ll have a feedback session where we go through your results together and discuss personalized recommendations, including accommodations, referrals, and practical coping strategies tailored to your real life.

Step 4: Detailed Written Report

The full process usually takes one to two weeks to complete, and you can expect to receive your detailed results about two weeks after finishing. Because the evaluation can be intensive, we suggest bringing water, a snack, and even inviting a loved one to your intake and feedback sessions, their perspective can be incredibly valuable.

At its heart, an ADHD assessment is more than just a diagnosis, it’s a chance to understand your brain in context and build a targeted game plan so you can thrive at school, at work, and in daily life with confidence and clarity.

Need Accommodation Documentation?

Some schools, universities, and workplaces require comprehensive psychoeducational or neuropsychological assessments when requesting accommodations.

If your primary goal is accommodation documentation, we can help determine whether our ADHD Clinic Assessment or a more comprehensive evaluation is the best fit for your needs.

This alone will likely reduce consultation calls because you're answering the question upfront.
